CALDWELL COUNTY, N.C. -- A billboard in Caldwell County has people talking.

  • A new billboard in Caldwell County says "Big Hugs."
  • A group of mothers puit up the billboard to show their teens "spreading love or good is better than filming videos to put them on the internet."
  • They hope to move the Billboard around the county.

The billboard was put up by a group of mothers, including Sheri Reichling, who wanted to show their teenagers that spreading love or good is better than filming videos to put on the internet.

The billboard states "Big Hugs" and is meant to inspire kindness. It currently hangs in Hudson on Highway 321a, but will be making its way around the county on different billboards.

Drivers say they appreciate seeing the gesture and it does help to brighten people's day.

"We want it to move around the county so different people would see it or if you saw it in one place, a little later you would see it again,” said Reichling.

Reichling is hoping more people catch on to the big hugs campaign and they will continue to pop up around the state.
