NORTH CAROLINA -- The Amber Alert for a 12-year-old boy from Surry County has been canceled, and he has since been found alive.

The alert was sent out Sunday morning.

• Mount Airy Police are looking for Anthony Manuel Diaz, a Hispanic male, about four-foot-seven
• Diaz was last seen wearing blue and grey pajamas with a shark-pattern top
• Diaz has brown hair, brown eyes

Mount Airy Police canceled the alert but were still looking for Anthony Manuel Diaz around 3:30 Sunday afternoon. Just after 4:30 p.m., he was found alive. He was found on Highway 89 near Independence and has been reunited with his family.
