CATAWBA COUNTY, N.C. -- Some people in the mountains and foothills are dealing with flooding as more rain falls across Western North Carolina.
- Whenever it rains, the swollen Catawba River and Lookout Shoals Lake start to overflow
- This has been the wettest year on record in Boone
- Rain is expected to continue across the area for most of this week
This has been the wettest year on record in Boone.
One resident in Catawba County says, whenever it rains, the swollen Catawba River and Lookout Shoals Lake start to overflow into backyards.
"It all runs down hill, that's where our concern is," says Mike Troutman. "We just listen and check the forecast out and come out here and check it out. If it gets where they can't control it no more, we start putting furniture up."
Rain is expected to continue across the area for most of this week.
