NORTH CAROLINA -- Gas prices across North Carolina are down about 25 cents in the last month.
But AAA doesn't expect the low prices to last long into the new year. It points to OPEC cutting oil production by 1.2 million gallons a day starting next week to boost the market.
"We're watching them carefully going into 2019 as they indicate they are going to reduce production which will likely cause an increase in prices going into the first quarter,” said Gregory Graves with AAA.
Graves says the holiday rush helped push down prices, which encouraged more people to travel.
