WILMINGTON, N.C. -- Motorists who travel over the Cape Fear Memorial Bridge in New Hanover County at night will have to plan on taking detours over the next several months.

• The Cape Fear Memorial Bridge will have nightly road closures for maintenance. 
• This will impact travel Monday through Thursday nights. 
• The work is expected to be complete in April 2019. 

The bridge will have nightly road closures in both directions to perform paving, building, electrical, and mechanical work. 

These closures will be in effect Monday through Thursday. 

Work is expected to be complete by April 17, 2019.
