CUMBERLAND COUNTY, N.C. – Investigators in Fayetteville are working to figure out what caused a deadly fire off Ramsey Street Friday morning.

The fire started just after 1 a.m. at an apartment on Republican Road.

Fire officials say the blaze started on the first floor, where they found someone dead inside.

That person’s name and cause of death have not yet been released.

Officials do believe the fire was accidental.
