Trooper Bob Beres is retiring after a 24 year career.

Trooper Bob rose to fame with his witty emoji tweets, which inspired a billboard campaign and an Emmy award-winning commercial.

However, even with nearly 26,000 followers on Twitter, Trooper Bob says he never joined the highway patrol for the fame.

Trooper Bob officially retires on November 30, and he says he's looking forward to spending the holidays with his family.
