UNION COUNTY, N.C. -- -- Two people are facing multiple drug charges after Union County officials say they found more than 170 grams of opioids believed to be blended with fentanyl.

The Union County Sheriff's Office arrested Shannon Adkins and Cynthia Ritch at a home in Fairview on Thursday morning.

During the arrest, detectives found more than $30,000 in cash and two guns in addition to the pills.

Both Adkins and Ritch are being held at the Union County jail.
