CHARLOTTE -- The Panthers' sale to David Tepper has been finalized. This is according to a tweet from the Carolina Panthers Monday afternoon.
Just minutes after the announcement, the Panthers also announced that COO Tina Becker has resigned.

- Panther COO Tina Becker announced her resignation
Becker had been named the organization's chief operating officer back in December, shortly after Carolina Panthers founder and former owner Jerry Richardson was accused of sexual and racial misconduct.
Becker had served in a variety of roles during her career with the Panthers, including directing the organization's business and administrative priorities, as well as dealing with league affairs. She had worked with the Panthers for 19 seasons. There is no word yet on a replacement.
Tepper had received unanimous approval from NFL owners in Atlanta to buy the team for $2.2 billion back in May. He also expressed that he's committed to keeping the team in the Carolinas and that its logical home is Charlotte.
Plans for the team included bettering the community and continuing the Panthers' charity work.
Jerry Richardson released his farewell message, saying, in part, "I wish Mr. Tepper all the best, the team is in good hands."
