NORTH CAROLINA -- A data breach has hit a popular chicken restaurant with several locations around the state.
- PDQ says hackers got access to customers' information
- Breach time period: May 19, 2017 to April 20, 2018
- All PDQ restaurants in North Carolina were affected except the location on Edwards Mill Road in Raleigh
According to a statement issued on PDQ's website, someone exposed their computer system and accessed personal information of customers, including credit card information.
The company says the hacker gained access between May 2017 and April of this year.
PDQ says they’re working to better strengthen their security systems to prevent a future incident.
