ASHEVILLE, N.C.-- Miss North Carolina is the first runner up in this year's Miss USA pageant.

Caelynn Miller-Keyes of Asheville wowed the judges last night with her inspiring call to action against sexual assault.

As a survivor, that's part of her platform.

She graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University with a degree in broadcast journalism.

Miller is currently a social media consultant in Asheville.
