AVON, N.C. -- A fisherman from Ohio got a big surprise this week while fishing in the Outer Banks.

  • Hammerhead shark caught at Outer Banks

  • Shark returned to water after taking this photo. 

Troy Rachel from Toledo, Ohio caught a hammerhead shark off the surf in Avon.

 

 

The shark was apparently 6 feet long. 

Rachel released the shark after taking this photo.
