LINCOLNTON, N.C. -- A Florida woman faces child abuse charges in North Carolina.         

Deputies say Katherine Kelly assaulted her one-year-old son while in Lincoln County in late February, early March.  When the 20-year-old returned to Florida, she took the child to the hospital.

Doctors there say the child had a fractured arm,  collarbone  and several bruises.      

Detectives in Florida alerted Lincoln County deputies. She was arrested on April 6 and was given a $22,000 secured bond which she later posted.
