GASTON COUNTY, N.C. -- A 16 year old is charged in connection to a deadly wreck in Gaston County Wednesday evening.

State troopers say Dylan Gibbs was driving between 75 and 80 miles an hour in a 45 mile per hour zone on Patrick Road when he crossed the center line and hit a car being driven by 77-year-old Nelle Meek.

Her husband, 83-year-old Jackson Meek, died at the hospital.

Gibbs is charged with misdemeanor death by vehicle and reckless driving.
