HUNTERSVILLE -- The Smoke And Go BBQ food truck has returned to its weekly spot at a gas station in Huntersville.
The business was shuttered for the last three months after co-owner Marvin Young was shot and robbed by a former employee.
Although he’s still recovering from a bullet to his leg, Young and his crew served up some of their classics - much to the gratitude of their loyal customer base.
"Always nice to see someone come back strong after a tragedy such as this," said Huntersville resident Mark Shaughnessy.
The food truck is back on its 4-day-a-week schedule, operating at both Cashion’s gas station and IBM Drive in Charlotte Wednesday through Saturday.
