CHARLOTTE -- The $200 million Concourse A expansion at the Charlotte Douglas International Airport is nearing completion.
The expansion will add nine gates and be served by United Airlines, Southwest Airlines, JetBlue Airlines, Frontier Airlines and Air Canada.
The expansion is close to 230,000 sq. ft. and will have a number of new restaurants and retail stores including Jamba Juice, Smashburger Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory and NoDa Bar.
The building windows have their own IP address which allow the panes to automatically tint as sunlight hits them.
The expansion is expected to open this summer.
