CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Highway patrol continues to investigate what led up to a fatal collision on Interstate-485 in west Charlotte on Sunday evening.

It happened on I-485 and West Boulevard just before 7. 

Two people were killed in the crash and subsequent car fire.

Medic says two additional patients were treated for minor injuries at the scene.

Authorities haven't released any names.
