BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. -- Loved ones say a Gardner-Webb alum and school soccer player shot in the Las Vegas massacre is waking up.

Tina Frost was shot in the head.

She's been in a coma for almost two weeks.

A post from Friday on her GoFundMe page says she opened her eye, looked around, tapped her feet to music and can take a couple of steps with the help of nurses.

They say she is also able to breathe on her own for six full hours.

Tina Frost continues fighting for her life in a Nevada hospital. Her family is updating the community through Facebook and a GoFundMe page.
