GASTON COUNTY, N.C. - A Gastonia man is charged with killing his girlfriend.
The case was first reported Tuesday as a hit-and-run.
Police say 30-year-old Richard Lewis first told investigators he and Ashley Young argued in his truck on North Chester Street and she got out walked away.
He later drove her to the hospital saying she'd been hit by an unknown driver.
However now he's charged with murder.
Police haven't released any more details about what happened.
