LOWELL, N.C. -- A Lowell police officer is under arrest, charged with statutory rape. SBI agents arrested James Blair on Thursday.
He's being held on $1 million bond at the Gaston County Jail.
Time Warner Cable News told you Wednesday about the investigation into allegations an officer had an inapproprite relationship with a minor. Officials now say Blair had sex with a 14-year-old girl.
The SBI is asking anyone with information about this case or other inappropriate contact with Blair to call them.
