LIVE OAK, Texas — Sometimes even teachers need pep rallies to get motivated for the first day of school.
It's not every day you see your teachers doing the Cupid Shuffle or dressed as superheroes.
It's the first year the Judson Independent School District has turned up the pre-first day pep rally this much.
The district wants to inspire the inner superhero in each staff member with music and motivation.
The goal is to keep students engaged in the classroom all year long.
"There's a passion to be a good teacher. To be a teacher, you have to have a passion and this group, that's why I say they're superheroes they have that passion,” said Judson ISD Superintendent Carl Montoya.
All staff were invited to this year's convocation, including bus drivers, clerks and custodians.
Students head back into the classrooms Monday morning.
