ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- Anthony Costello, founder of local development company The Costello Group, has died, his company confirmed Monday.
Costello started the real estate and property management company in 1982. Notable projects include The Reserve on the Erie Canal and the Clinton Crossing Medical Center in Brighton, and the CityGate development in Rochester.
City, county and state lawmakers sent along their condolences, calling Costello a "visionary."
A company spokesman said Costello is survived by his wife Elaine, their four children and a dozen grandchildren.
