DALTON, Mass. -- A police officer already on leave for a previous arrest is accused of assaulting several teens.

James Scace, 47, was arraigned on Thursday on charges of assault with a weapon and intimidation of a witness. The district attorney said Scace assaulted four young people aged 18, 16, and 14 back in October; however, no other information about the incident was released. Scace has been on administrative leave since the incident.

On Scace's behalf, a not guilty plea was entered, and he was released on the condition he wouldn't have contact with the teens.

He was arrested in a separate incident in November and charged with assault with a weapon, strangulation and witness intimidation.
