ROWAN COUNTY -- Investigators say a known gang member is under arrest charged with killing a transgender woman from Rowan County.
Angel Arias, 25, who authorities say is a member of the Latin Kings, is charged with killing Elisha Walker.
Walker has been missing for almost a year.
The Rowan County Sheriff's Office identified Arias as a suspect this past November after finding Walker's burned car in a field in Sampson County.
This week a search team found her remains in a shallow grave in Johnson County.
Investigators haven't said what led to the killing.
Arias is being held at the Johnston County Jail on no bond. He's awaiting transport back to Rowan County on charges of murder and car theft.
