CHARLOTTE- The Wells Fargo Championship golf tournament is underway at Quail Hollow Club. Thousands of fans are at the course to see some of the world’s top golfers.

Today, all eyes will be on Rory McIlroy, the number one golfer in the world. He played in Wednesday’s Pro-Am with a South Carolina teenager.

Grace Vaughn has a blood disorder and won an essay contest which gave her the chance to pick a PGA player to walk alongside at the Pro-Am.

McIlroy won the Wells Fargo Championship in 2010 and will tee off at 1:20 p.m. this afternoon.

He's paired with Patrick Rees and Ben Martin today. Wednesday, McIlroy scored 60 in the Pro-Am.

Fan favorite Phil Mickelson is also in town, but a few big names are taking the week off including Bubba Watson and Masters winner Jordan Speith.
