CONCORD, N.C. -- Police continue to search for the man wanted in an armed robbery Friday night at Concord Mills Mall. They say it happened after closing when an employee was walking alone to her car.

Police say armed robbery is rare at Concord Mills, they've only had three reports of violent crimes this year and none of them happened at the mall.

“I feel safe. I take my family there, my wife and children. I have no reservations and I don't think twice about it beause, like I said, it's not something that normally occurs but no one or no place is immune to crime,” said Capt. Michael Green, of the Concord Police Department.

Time Warner Cable News received a statement from Concord Mills Mall management that reads, “Our top priority is the safety of our shoppers, retailers and their employees. We are fully cooperating with the Concord Police Department as they investigate this isolated incident.”
