DAVIDSON, N.C. -- When the family can’t decide where to eat, chill out. Davidson Ice House whips up meals for the picky eater, diet conscious, and allergy sufferers.
- The Davidson Ice House accommodates to picky eaters, those on a diet, and allergy sufferers
- The restaurant is housed in a building that previously was an ice house
- The dining area sits over an old pool that made ice
“[It's] a restaurant for everybody. I call it inclusive eating,” chef and owner Jennifer Brule said. “Every family I know has at least one vegetarian or one kid who’s gluten free or one kid who’s on keto, whatever.”
Brule did the math and estimates her menu comes in more than 10 billion combinations.
Davidson Ice House is a modern way of eating inside a building frozen in time. It’s location is the spot of the old ice house where people bought actual blocks of ice.
The walls still have ice tongs hanging. The floor of the dining area sits over the old pool that made ice.
Next time you can’t decide where to eat, let the stress and hunger melt away.
