North Carolina State Representative Jeffrey Elmore (R-94) says his district was part of the birth of NASCAR.

In his Know Your Electeds interview, Elmore describes how working as a teacher inspired him to run for office. One of his proudest accomplishments so far has been increasing teacher pay--an issue that is personal to him.

Elmore has represented North Carolina's 94th district since 2013. His first job was selling pumpkins.
