UW-Madison is hosting events to recognize Hispanic Heritage Month.

Armando Ibarra, a professor in the School for Workers at UW-Madison, said he’s noticed a growing Hispanic and Latino population on campus as the Hispanic population in the state has grown as well.

Ibarra said the growing Hispanic and Latino population has made a strong economic and cultural impact on Wisconsin.
