Bizet’s CARMEN is one of the most popular and recognizable operas in the world, in part thanks to it’s well known music. It tells the story of the alluring gypsy Carmen, who attracts many men, but wants the soldier Don José. But their torn love and another suitor come to prove attraction can turn fatal.
Featuring hypnotic dancing, human drama, and major hit songs, Harada says the story relates to those who’ve never even heard an opera.
Born in Tokyo, Japan and now traveling the world with his craft, Harada is proud to present CARMEN with the help of professional opera singers and local North Carolina Talent. The show takes place on Friday, January 25 at 7:30pm and Sunday, January 27 at 2pm. For show and ticket information visit their website.
