DURHAM, N.C. — It’s called one of the world’s greatest dance festivals and all this month and next some of the best in modern dance are performing on stage in the Tar Heel State.
For more than 80 years, the American Dance Festival has served the needs of dancers, choreographers and different professionals in the field, encouraging and supporting creation through new and modern dance.
Spectrum News anchor Caroline Blair sat down with ADF’s Executive Director Jodee Nimerichter for a glance inside this year’s six week festival.
Nimerichter says the festival’s long running history of education, community outreach and of course performance is shining strong, and they’ve expanded their reach from Durham to Raleigh, drawing in performers and lovers of the art form from all over the world.
The American Dance Festival runs now through July 21.
Tickets start at $12 and go up from there.
