RALEIGH -- It doesn’t matter your age or where you are in the state, the North Carolina Science Festival is offering hundreds of hands on events throughout the month of April across the Tar Heel State.

Spectrum News anchor Caroline Blair sat down to talk about the eighth annual North Carolina Science Festival with its director, Jonathan Frederick.

From Lego robotics to 3D printed prosthetics, this year's festival has expanded from two weeks to a full month of STEM fun, making North Carolina the only state in the country to have a festival quite like this.

Molecular Gastronomy is the focus at an event in Charlotte, NASA is the focus on Monday April 2 in Fayetteville, Rock 'n Roll Geology takes center stage in Davidson on the April 3 and the list goes on.
