On Sept. 5, a Wake County judge denied Robert F. Kennedy Jr.'s request to be removed from the ballot in North Carolina and denied his request for a temporary restraining order against the state Board of Elections.

However, the judge granted him 24 hours to appeal the ruling, meaning mail-in ballots will not start to be sent out Friday morning as was planned.

Karen Brinson Bell, the executive director of the state Board of Elections, joins us to discuss the situation further.
