Congressman Patrick McHenry served as acting House speaker as Republicans worked to elect a new permanent leader in October. Now, McHenry says he will retire from Congress at the end of his term. Our Washington correspondent Reuben Jones joins us from the Capitol with more on the big decision.

Plus, a lawsuit is challenging our state's new congressional districts. The suit was filed by a group of Black and Latino voters that claim four of the districts are unconstitutionally gerrymandered to break up large minority groups, ultimately lessening their voting power.

The Republican lawmakers who oversaw the map drawing process say that racial data was not used while drawing the districts.
