RALEIGH, N.C. -- Chief Justice Mark Martin announced he is leaving the bench at the end of February.

He will be the dean of the Regent University School of Law in Virginia. In an exclusive interview, Chief Justice Martin tells Tim Boyum why he feels the need to leave the bench now, and what his most memorable accomplishments are in public service.
