ST. LOUIS COUNTY – Crimestoppers has increased the reward amount for anyone with information leading to the arrest of the person whose stray bullet killed a Christian Brothers College High School (CBC) varsity hockey star. 

Colin Brown was hit by a stray bullet on I-55 on his way back from a CBC varsity hockey game. He later died from his injuries on on Nov. 27, 2024.

St. Louis Metroplitan Police are reviewing surveillance video from the area and are asking the public for any information they have. Crimestoppers says no piece of information is too small. 

The reward is now $25,000. For anyone with information pertaining to the investigation, call CrimeStoppers at 1-866-371-8477. All tips are anonymous.

Brown's funeral will be held on Dec. 6, 2024. A memorial visitation will be Thursday, Dec. 5, 2024, from 4 to 9 p.m. at CBC High School.

According to his obituary, donations in Brown’s memory can be made to CBC High School by calling 314-985-6100 and charitable donations may be made to DAWG nation, an organization dedicated to supporting amateur ice hockey players and their families during a crisis.
