Friday, April 12
36th Annual Sugarloaf Reggae Festival
Music and non-stop parties at the base of Sugarloaf Mountain all weekend. Best bet to secure tickets early. Find more details here.

Kora Shriners Sportsmen Expo
From expert-led seminars on hunting, trapping, and outdoor photography to exciting mini-golf challenges. There’s a lot to experience all weekend long. The expo will feature vendors who promote outdoor activities for the entire family and an outdoor activities raffle both online and in person. Click here for more.

Saturday, April 13
Patriot’s Day Race for the Kids
This is the 93rd Patriots Day Race for the Kids. The race is one of the longest-held road races in New England. Hosted by the Boys and Girls Clubs of Southern Maine’s Alumni Association. More details are available here.

USM Craft Shows
Go check out hundreds of local artists selling locally made art, food, gifts, and more. This event supports local artists and USM athletics. More information is avaiable on their Facebook page.

Boating Safety and Education Course
Participating in a recreational boating safety education course can teach you how to safely operate and maintain a boat and introduce you to Maine boating laws and resources. The State of Maine has accepted the National Association of State Boating Law Administrators (NASBLA) educational standards that is recognized in all fifty states. Learn more by clicking here.

Southern Maine Model RR Club Show

Sunday, April 14
Central Maine Strongman Competition
This is the 15th year of the competition. The event is a fundraiser and this year, they will be giving back to local Youth Sports Programs and Animal Rescue Organizations. Click on the image below for more details.

Maine Madness Scavenger Hunt
A creative, nontraditional scavenger hunt begins at a scenic spot in the city. You'll get instructions from a live and interactive remote host. You'll then take off on your own to experience visitng a wide variety of carefully curated locations in town. You caan walk or drive to the various checkpoints as you interpret creative tasks, accept wacky challenges, and get outside your comfort zone. Find more details here.

An Evening with David Sedaris
The author of the previous bestsellers "Calypso," "Naked," "Me Talk Pretty One Day," "Dress Your Family in Corduroy and Denim" and regular National Public Radio contributor will be live on stage for one night only, following the release of his newest book Happy Go Lucky.
