1. Packers take receiver in first round for first time since 2002, draft Matthew Golden

On a night with Green Bay in the spotlight for hosting the NFL Draft, the Packers delighted their fans by selecting speedy Texas receiver Matthew Golden with the 23rd pick in the first round Thursday night. It was the first time the Packers drafted a wide receiver in the first round since Javon Walker in 2002. 

2. Pope Francis, first Latin American pontiff who ministered with a charming, humble style, dies at 88

Pope Francis, history's first Latin American pontiff who charmed the world with his humility and concern for the poor but alienated conservatives over climate change and critiques of capitalism, died Monday. He was 88. The Vatican said Francis died of a stroke that put him into a coma and led his heart to fail.

3. FBI arrests Milwaukee judge over obstruction of immigration detainment

Milwaukee County Circuit Judge Hannah Dugan has been arrested by the FBI over the obstruction of an immigration arrest operation last week. Dugan appeared briefly in federal court Friday in Milwaukee before being released from custody. Her next court appearance is May 15. Eduardo Flores-Ruiz was scheduled for an April 18 hearing with Dugan in a criminal case when he was arrested. The arrest marks an escalation in the Trump administration’s fight with the judiciary over the White House's sweeping immigration enforcement policies.

4. Janesville nurse brings comfort, compassion to abuse survivors through handmade blankets

A Wisconsin nurse is transforming pain into healing with a heartfelt blend of clinical care and community compassion. Jamie Counsell, a sexual assault nurse examiner at Mercyhealth in Janesville, has spent over a decade providing critical medical and emotional support to survivors of sexual assault.
