We should be able to squeeze out most of our Easter weekend without rain destroying our plans. However, showers will return by the afternoon Sunday.

Temperatures will drop a few degrees heading into Saturday. Expect many with highs in the 50s. Likewise, Sunday will be on the cooler side with daytime highs in the 40s and lower 50s.

1. As most Wisconsin schools struggle to recover from pandemic, Fond du Lac School District is driving ahead

While most of the state remains below its 2019 levels in math and reading, one school district has made a near-full recovery since the pandemic. Fond du Lac School District's reading scores have grown the most out of all 421 school districts in Wisconsin, according to a scorecard gathered by Harvard and Stanford.

2. Damian Lillard cleared of deep vein thrombosis, can resume full basketball activity

Milwaukee Bucks star Damian Lillard has been cleared of his deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and is no longer on blood-thinning medication, the team announced on Thursday. The Bucks said he'll continue increasing his on-court basketball activity as he prepares for a return.

4. ‘We’re on a rollercoaster’: Why nearly a quarter of Wisconsin child care providers worry they could face closure

As Wisconsin lawmakers prepare to draft the state’s next two-year budget, hundreds of parents and childcare providers gathered on the steps of the Capitol on Wednesday for the 2025 Child Care Advocacy Day. The event, which was organized by the Wisconsin Early Childhood Association and Wisconsin Head Start Association, called for funding to keep the Child Care Counts program going.

5.  Meet Wisconsin's longest-married couple

Ted and Rosemary Prosser have known each other since childhood, but like many great love stories, theirs began with a small misunderstanding. Now both 95, the couple was recognized by the Wisconsin Family Council as one of the state’s longest-married couples.
