Highs will be in the 60s on Saturday and Sunday. Come Memorial Day, the pattern of a partly cloudy sky continues with highs at least in the 60s, if not for some spots low 70s.

1. 2 UW-Platteville students dead after suffering gunshot wounds
Two University of Wisconsin-Platteville students died in an “isolated event” at the university Monday, the university confirmed. Kelsie Martin, 22, of Beloit and Hallie Helms, 22, of Baraboo both died inside Wilgus Hall. Based on preliminary autopsy findings, Martin died due to the gunshot wound. Based on preliminary autopsy findings, Helms died due to a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
2. Winnebago County Sheriff joins 12 other departments who agreed to collaborate with ICE
The Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office is one of 13 law enforcement departments throughout the state of Wisconsin that signed an agreement to work with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). Winnebago County Sheriff John Matz said for his team, this meant nothing new.
3. Community cleanup efforts continue 1 week after Dodge County tornadoes
One week after at least 15 tornadoes touched down across Wisconsin, cleanup efforts continued in communities statewide. Dodge County was one of the hardest hit areas in the state, with at least six confirmed tornadoes.

4. Elon Musk's pullback from politics comes after his last big investment flopped in Wisconsin
Elon Musk, the richest person in the world, said Tuesday that he would be spending less on political campaigns, an announcement that came just seven weeks after the candidate he backed in Wisconsin’s Supreme Court race lost by 10 percentage points
5. Marquette Poll: GOP losing hope that Trump can address inflation
A new Marquette Law School poll found that President Donald Trump’s job approval is upside down, with 54% disapproving and 46% approving. Also, 42% of Republicans and 30% of Democrats call inflation and the cost of living their biggest issues.
