On Wednesday morning, Mokulele Airlines temporarily paused all flights "due to maintenance and an abundance of caution," according to their website.

It was not clear how long the pause would last.

"Safety is our top priority. We are temporarily not operating some flights in our fleet for precautionary maintenance inspections," said Louis Saint-Cyr, COO & President of Hawaii Operations, in an emailed statement. "We continue to operate certain flights, and on impacted flights, we are rebooking or otherwise accommodating passengers. We are focused on passenger care while prioritizing passengers with medical needs and health concerns."

Impacted passengers can call the airlines' customer service team at 808-495-4188.
