World Surf League and NBC Sports are partnering on a new documentary featuring surfers on their journey to the Olympic games in Tahiti.

The six-episode series, called “Tahiti Bound,” will debut on March 3 at 8 a.m. in Hawaii (or 1 p.m. ET) on CNBC and Peacock, according to a news release.

Surfing at the Summer Olympics made its debut in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, which was held in 2021 after being postponed because of the COVID-19 pandemic. For the 2024 Paris Olympics, surfing will take place in Teahupo'o in French Polynesia between July 27-29. Controversy has plagued the surfing competition, as many residents and environmentalists have opposed the construction of an aluminum judging tower, which will be attached to the reef.

Each episode of the documentary series will follow surfers from Team USA on this season’s WSL Championship Tour. The series will feature Hawaii’s Carissa Moore and John John Florence. Plus, Caroline Marks, Griffin Colapinto and Caity Simmers. The first episode will be at Pipeline Pro and the second episode, airing March 17 at 9 a.m. Hawaii time (or 2 p.m. ET), will be at Sunset Beach.

A final, seventh episode, called “Tahiti to Trestles,” will recap the Olympic Games and the 2024 WSL CT results. This episode will air Oct. 13 at 8 a.m. in Hawaii (or 1 p.m. ET) on NBC and Peacock.

All seven episodes will also be available to stream on the NBC Sports YouTube Channel.
