HONOLULU — Sidewalks throughout the Chinatown and Downtown Honolulu areas will undergo repairs beginning Mon., Feb. 13, with work being done from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, except for observed state holidays. The City and County of Honolulu Department of Facility Maintenance estimates the project will be completed by Aug. 31, pending weather conditions.

Motorists in the area are asked to drive with caution and to obey traffic signs, posted signs and special duty police officers. On-street parking will be prohibited during the specified work hours. Vehicles parked in areas marked with “No Parking” signs will be towed at the owner’s expense.

DFM urges drivers to anticipate delays and allow extra travel time caused by detours and lane and road closures.
