The cause of a fire that broke out on the RIT campus is under investigation.
Henrietta fire officials say multiple calls came in around 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, saying the roof of the new RIT stadium was on fire and there were explosions. Crews say when they arrived, they could see flames coming from the roof of the structure, which is currently under construction.
The remaining workers inside the building were evacuated while fire crews fought the fire. Fire officials say two employees were injured.
The Monroe County Fire Bureau and Monroe County Sheriff's Offices are now working to determine what sparked the fire.
