People living in the city of Rochester may receive a phone call on Monday at 6:30 p.m.

The call is a telephone town hall hosted by the Urban League of Rochester to discuss the role voting plays in ensuring access to health care.

During the call, people will hear about vaccinations, health access and the connection between voting and impact on health overall.

“I’ve heard people say that their vote doesn’t matter,” said Dr. Candice Lucas, senior vice president for equity and advocacy at the Urban League of Rochester. “However, your vote is a powerful tool that can have a direct impact on public policies that affect access to parks, safe sidewalks, grocery stories and transportation.”
