For those looking for their "fur-ever" friend this fall, Rochester Animal Services is hosting a Halloween-themed "Bark or Treat" adoption event this Sunday.

Running from 12 to 3:30 p.m., or until all available dogs are adopted, the fee-waived event will take place at Brown Square Park on Verona Street.

“We are so thrilled about this event celebrating our adoptable dogs, our community’s support, and the Halloween season!” Rochester Animal Services Director Staci Papadoplos said in a statement. “We’re extremely grateful for our generous sponsors and vendors who are making Bark or Treat possible, as we hope to find new homes for all of our well-deserving and lovable dogs.”

Those interested are asked to bring a leash or collar in order to safely take their new dog home.

Rochester Animal Services says 10-16 dogs will be available.
