Lollypop Farm is in need of foster families as they continue to see an influx of cats and kittens.

As of last Thursday, Lollypop Farm says it is caring for 623 animals, of which 302 are cats and 162 are kittens.

Officials at the shelter say the reason for the soaring numbers is because of the warmer temperatures the area has been experiencing this fall.

The Humane Society says about half of the animals under Lollypop Farm’s care are with dedicated foster families. Fosters are given all food, medication and veterinary care necessary to care for the animals.
