ROCHESTER, N.Y. — An update in the case of three men charged in connection with the shooting of a Rochester police officer.
The Monroe County District Attorney's office offered Kamiu Blake a plea deal Monday Morning in court. Blake was offered a 12 year sentence for attempted assault and five years for criminal possession of a weapon.
They would be served at the same time.
He, along with two others, is accused in the shooting of RPD officer Jeremy Nash last summer. Nash, an 11-year veteran of the department was shot in the face while sitting in his patrol car.
Investigators say he was the unintended target. Nash has since recovered and is back on the job.
Tykyal Glover, 16, is facing multiple charges including two counts of assault and criminal possession of a weapon.
Anthony Frasier was indicted for criminal possession of a weapon.
