The Salvation Army of Greater Rochester begins its annual Red Kettle Campaign Tuesday. The organization is putting out a call for 750 volunteer bell ringers to donate their time to collect money for the effort.

Kettles will be stationed at more than 45 locations around the Rochester area through the holiday season. They'll be collecting money to help families and individuals dealing with hunger and homelessness — as well as essential family programs.

Local groups or individuals are needed to fill two-hour shifts from Nov. 22 through Christmas Eve.
