Survivors of the Oct. 7 attack in Israel are sharing their stories with Rochester's Jewish Community.

"The stories about the brutality of the attack are true and very, very unbelievable," said survivor Olga Metzger. "It's very hard to believe that human beings can do something like that to other human beings."

Metzger, and two other women who went through the attack that day, spoke about their experience at Temple B'rith Kodesh in Brighton on Wednesday. They say more than two dozen members of their hometown are still being hostage, while they've buried dozens of others.

The Palestinian militant group killed about 1,200 people and took more than 250 others hostage last year, sparking a war with Israel.
